Intruder!

Several RAF squadrons specialised in night time intruder patrols over Europe in support of Bomber Command operations.  515 squadron was one such, based at Little Snoring in Norfolk flying Mosquito MkVIs equipped with MkXV (ASH) airborne interceptor radar.  The Luftwaffe knew of their potential presence and feared their capabilities with far-reaching implications on the Nachtjagd crews whilst flying and landing when they were particularly vulnerable.

This is a 515 squadron combat report for the night of 3/4 February 1945 logging the destruction of a Ju88 in the vicinity of its home airfield of Gutersloh.
