Ronnie Smith - bomb-aimer

Ronnie Smith, born in Barnsley in the summer of 1923, but latterly lived in Sheffield, his parents being Reginald and Ethel, Florence and Jean were his sisters.  The family lived at 398 South Rd., where they ran a newsagents and tobacconist shop.

The family had plans to move to Canada after the war's end, but following Ronnie's death this never happened.  Reg and Ethel later moved to Wennington Rd, Southport.
